Beyond the Stigma: Understanding, Acceptance, Action, is a collaborative initiative between the Coalition for a Healthier Frederick County and the Msingi Institute dedicated to advancing hope, support, and equity in mental health.
Held during September, a month that honors both National Recovery Month and Suicide Prevention Month, this seminar is more than a gathering; it is a shared commitment. A commitment to breaking down the barriers that stigma has instilled in our society. A commitment to listening, learning, and leading with compassion. Above all, a commitment to championing the voices and journeys of those living with and recovering from mental health challenges.
Our seminar offers an engaging opportunity for stakeholders across disciplines, communities, and lived experiences to connect, exchange ideas, and drive collaborative solutions that advance health equity. Through open dialogue, thoughtful panels, and hands-on sessions, we aim to increase awareness, confront discrimination, and advocate for mental health equity on par with other forms of healthcare.
