Walking Together: Centering Anti-Racism in Black Maternal Care
Presented by the Black Health Equity Coalition of Frederick County and Co-sponsored by Frederick Health
What happens when the care we intend to provide isn’t the care our patients experience?
Join us for a half-day, interactive training that explores how bias, communication, and healthcare practices can shape the experiences and outcomes of Black mothers and birthing people.
Led by Dr. Nicole T. Rochester, physician, patient advocate, and founder of Your GPS Doc, this training invites healthcare professionals to look beyond good intentions and consider what respectful, equitable maternal care looks like in everyday practice.
Through guided discussion, real-world scenarios, and interactive learning, participants will examine how assumptions and everyday interactions can affect patient trust, communication, care, and then consider what they can do differently.
3.5 CME/CEU credits available for eligible participants.
Wednesday, December 2, 2026
