Implicit Bias, Cultural Humility, and Anti-Oppressive Practice for Licensed Professionals is a 3-hour interactive training offered by the Mental Health Association of Frederick County (MHA) and hosted by the Frederick County Health Department. Designed for social workers, counselors, behavioral health providers, case managers, supervisors, and other helping professionals, the training explores how implicit bias, stigma, culture, race, equity, and personal belief systems can influence professional judgment, client engagement, assessment, referrals, documentation, supervision, and service delivery. Participants will engage in self-reflection and learn practical strategies for culturally humble communication, ethical practice, reducing bias, and promoting equitable, respectful care.
